I use one every morning to increase the circulation in my skin and to reduce any inflammation.

Celebrity facialist Ole Henriksen — who incorporates this secret weapon into all of his facials— raves that ice cubes “dramatically improve circulation in the skin for that healthy glow we all want.”

Supermodel Kate Moss has even been known to submerge her face in a sink of ice water each morning…but you don’t have to go as far to get the same benefits.

Try This “Face Sculpting” Massage

To get started, simply grab an ice cube and wrap it in a clean handkerchief or soft paper towel. Having a barrier between the ice and your skin makes this a comfortable experience.

Massaging your face with the firm ice cube also rejuvenates your facial muscles — which makes your skin appear more youthful.

Glide an ice cube  from under your eyes to the high points of your cheekbones, across your forehead, and down your jawline.

Henriksen recommends doing this massage for five minutes to receive the full benefits.

And it’s not only water you can freeze! Frozen tea, coffee or even an aspirin solution work great for this beauty trick.

Green Tea

 

For an energizing face treatment that is full of antioxidant power, try freezing Green tea.

Green tea contains EGCG — a super potent antioxidant — which has been found to reactivate dying skin cells!

Chamomile Tea

 

If you’re concerned about dark spots and discoloration, try Chamomile tea ice cubes.

A recent clinical study in which 28 women applied a bisabolol solution (derived from chamomile) to their dark spots, showed a significant improvement in the reduction of hyper-pigmentation.

Aspirin

Dissolve crushed aspirin in water and freeze in your tray to use as relief for acne or skin flare ups.

I love that prepping these mini-facials is as easy as pouring a bit of leftover tea or water into an ice tray and popping it in the freezer

Just make sure your tray is clean to prevent spreading any bacteria on your face.
